Health and Wellness
We want each student, family, teacher, staff member,
and guest to be healthy and well.
We want all who come to Belmont to be healthy and well. For this purpose, we closely watch public health news, including developing news about COVID-19, and have adopted the following procedures:
Clean and Safe
-
Regularly disinfect all frequently-used surfaces.
-
Ventilate the building with fresh air each day.
-
Keep hand sanitizer available in each room.
-
Remind students to practice good hygiene (i.e., wash hands, always cover coughs & sneezes).
-
Ask all who come to campus to observe the Health and Wellness guidelines.
Illness
If a student becomes ill during school:
-
The school will notify parents and arrange for pick-up as soon as possible.
-
The student will wait in the office where there is a bed where they may more comfortably wait.
-
After a student has used the office bed, the bedding will be changed and cleaned, and surfaces will be disinfected.
-
After school hours, the school will be aired out and frequently-used surfaces disinfected, per the daily cleaning.
Returning to Campus
-
Anyone who has had COVID-like symptoms (fever above 100°, persistent cough, shortness of breath, or new loss of taste) should be symptom-free a full 72 hours (i.e., 3 days) before returning to campus.
-
Anyone who has had other symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, or pinkeye should be symptom-free for 24 hours (i.e., 2 days) before returning to campus.
