Presented by Middle School, Grades 5-6

On Thursday, November 6th, Belmont students came together to celebrate Veterans' Day with a special devotional. The middle school shared the following historical thought:
Veterans Day reminds us to honor the courage and sacrifice of those who have served in our nation's armed forces. Their commitment to protecting freedom is a powerful example of selfless service. As we reflect today, may we be inspired to live with gratitude and purpose. Let us remember that peace and liberty often come at a great cost. May we carry forward the legacy of our veterans by showing respect, helping others, and being leaders in kindness every day.
Following this, the Upper School choir shared the song "In Flanders Fields."
The Upper School then presented a tribute to service members who have gone missing in action. They also shared the poem "Crossing the Bar" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
Finally, the Upper School choir sang a medley of United States Armed Forces songs.
What a special way to commemorate Veterans' Day! Our hearts are full of gratitude on this special day for those who have fought to preserve our freedoms.
This historical thought was delivered by our Middle School students at devotional on 11/06/2025. Each week one class leads the student body in prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, scripture recitation, a meditation, and an historical thought. Belmont family and friends are welcome, Thursdays 8:30-9:05 am.
